About
The Process Strips activity is an interactive way for K–12 students to deepen their understanding of processes or structures through sequencing and critical thinking. Teachers begin by writing each step of a process on separate strips of paper and pairing those steps with corresponding illustrations. All strips and pictures are mixed and placed in an envelope. Working individually or in groups, students organize the strips and images into a logical order that correctly represents the process. This hands-on activity helps students visualize and internalize procedural sequences, strengthens reasoning and communication skills, and encourages collaborative problem-solving.
